Terence Milstead is a human-AI systems architect and behavioral insights researcher. He helps expertise-driven firms redesign how work gets done so AI supports the real production of analysis, insight, recommendations, and creative output, instead of quietly eroding the quality and judgment clients pay for.

Second Mind Solutions sits at the intersection of AI, workflow design, research, and strategic communication. The firm helps expertise-driven organizations make AI useful in the real work of producing analysis, insight, recommendations, and creative output. Drawing on experience across research, strategic communications, and consulting in both the public and private sectors, Terence brings a disciplined, evidence-based lens to every engagement.

Before founding Second Mind Solutions, Terence led UX research at CODE PA, Pennsylvania's digital services agency, where he supervised a year-long enterprise AI study conducted in partnership with OpenAI. He also conducted qualitative research for clients including Google and YouTube during his time at Storyline Strategies. Earlier in his career, he served as a Vice President at Ogilvy, the international advertising and public relations firm. The behavioral research and strategic communications methods that informed that work are the same ones he now applies to AI workflow performance.

Second Mind Solutions grew out of a specific frustration: watching firms invest seriously in AI (the tools, the licenses, the announcements) and then struggle to connect any of it to how the work actually gets done. The gap was rarely the technology. It was the absence of a disciplined way to turn AI capability into workflow-level value, so the time AI saved did not leak back out. Terence started Second Mind to build that system, grounded in behavioral research and how real teams work under real conditions, not generic training or vendor frameworks.

In addition to his consulting practice, Terence serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Undergraduate Communications Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
